Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about credits, top-ups, and how Moshly works.

Credits — The Basics

A credit is the unit Moshly uses to measure and fairly distribute AI-powered feature usage. Instead of charging per action (which would be arbitrary), Moshly credits are indexed to the real cost of AI — meaning 1 credit roughly represents a small, defined amount of compute cost.

This model keeps things transparent: when you use more expensive operations (like longer AI-generated text), more credits are consumed. Lightweight operations cost fewer credits.

Plan App Slots Monthly credits Daily bonus
Solo2500+25 / day
Collective41,000+25 / day
Business102,500+25 / day
MajorUnlimited5,000+50 / day

Every plan has two separate credit pools: a monthly pool and a daily bonus pool. They work independently of each other.

Monthly credits are the base allocated with your subscription. They are available on the first day of your billing cycle and are gradually consumed as you use AI features throughout the month. They do not expire on a daily basis.

Daily bonus credits are a separate small top-up added automatically every day — think of them as a daily allowance to keep things moving even if your monthly pool is running low. The unused portion of a day's bonus does not carry over to the next day.

Example: You're on the Solo plan. On day 10 of your cycle you still have 420 monthly credits left. At midnight, your daily 25-credit bonus is added. You now have 420 monthly + 25 daily = 445 usable credits. The system spends the daily bonus first.

Monthly credits do not roll over. At the end of each billing cycle, any unused monthly credits expire and your pool is refreshed to the plan's full allocation.

Daily bonus credits also do not carry over. Any unused daily credits at midnight (Lisbon) are discarded and a fresh daily bonus is added.

Credits purchased via Top-Up are the exception — they remain in your account until used and do not expire with your billing cycle.

Daily bonus credits reset every day at midnight, Europe/Lisbon time (WET / WEST, depending on DST). This is UTC+0 in winter and UTC+1 in summer.

The reset is automatic and instantaneous — no action is required on your part.

App Slots & Peek Access

Moshly uses a Slot System to manage access to the apps in our ecosystem. Depending on your plan, you have a fixed number of "Permanent Slots" that can be used at any given time.

When you move an app (like FeeMe or BrainRoom) into a slot, it becomes ready to use. You can swap apps in and out of slots as your workflow needs change.

A Peek Slot allows you to temporarily access any app without committing it to one of your permanent slots. It’s perfect for testing a new tool or handling a one-off task.

  • Initial Duration: 24 hours.
  • Rotation: You can only have one Peek active at a time. Requesting a Peek for a different app replaces the current one.

If you need more time with an app in your Peek Slot, you can extend it twice. Each extension adds +24 hours to the expiration time.

  • Max Duration: 72 hours (Initial 24h + 2 extensions).
  • Cost: Each extension costs 50 AI Credits, deducted from your usage pool.
Tip: If you find yourself extending a Peek frequently, it might be more cost-effective to move that app into one of your permanent slots.

Consuming Credits

Any action that triggers an AI model — whether to generate text, analyse data, or produce structured content — consumes credits. Examples include:

  • WizeRank — SEO analysis, keyword suggestions, content scoring (coming soon)
  • Any future AI-powered feature across the Moshly suite

Standard non-AI actions — browsing, editing forms, managing projects, exporting PDFs (within your PDF quota) — do not consume credits.

Credit costs are calculated dynamically based on the actual token usage of each AI call — the same way cloud AI providers charge Moshly. Longer prompts or longer outputs cost more credits; short operations cost fewer.

Each feature will display its estimated credit cost before you confirm the action, so there are never any surprises.

Transparency promise: Moshly does not inflate credit costs. 1 credit = a fixed fraction of Moshly's real AI spend. You pay for what we use, nothing more.

Moshly spends credits in this order:

  • 1st: Daily bonus credits (these don't carry over, so they're used up first)
  • 2nd: Peek Extensions (if you extend an app's temporary access)
  • 3rd: Top-Up credits (if any were purchased)
  • 4th: Monthly subscription credits

This order ensures you get the most value from short-lived credits before touching your main monthly pool.

AI-powered features are temporarily paused until your credit pool is replenished. Non-AI features (editing, projects, exports within quota) remain fully available — your work is never blocked.

You can regain access to AI features by:

  • Waiting for tomorrow's daily bonus credits (resets at midnight Lisbon)
  • Purchasing a credit Top-Up pack
  • Upgrading to a higher plan

Credit Top-Up

A Top-Up is a one-time purchase of additional credits that are added to your account immediately. They are useful when you need to handle a surge in AI usage — a big project, a deadline, or a high-volume period — without upgrading your entire plan.

Top-Up credits are available to all paid plans and are consumed after your daily bonus credits but before your monthly allocation.

No. Top-Up credits do not expire with your billing cycle or with daily resets. They remain in your account until fully consumed, regardless of how long that takes.

Top-Up packs are available from your dashboard under Account → Credits. The feature will be live once credit management is enabled in the platform. You can also reach us at support@moshly.io to arrange a manual top-up in the meantime.

Note: Top-Up pricing and available pack sizes will be published when the feature launches. We will notify all users.

On the Collective, Business, and Major plans, credits (including Top-Up credits) are shared across the workspace. All collaborators draw from the same pool, so project leads can manage usage centrally.

On the Solo plan, credits are personal and not shareable.

Plans, Upgrades & Other Questions

When you upgrade, your monthly credit pool is immediately updated to the new plan's allocation, pro-rated from the upgrade date. Any credits already consumed in the current cycle count towards the new plan's quota.

Top-Up credits are never lost during a plan change.

If you downgrade, the remaining monthly credits will be adjusted to the lower plan's limit at the start of the next billing cycle. Any excess is not refunded or carried over.

If you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the paid period, then access to AI features is suspended. Top-Up credits are preserved for 12 months after cancellation in case you reactivate.

No. PDF exports are tracked separately via each plan's monthly export quota (12, 24, 100, or 500 depending on your plan). They do not consume credits.

Only AI-powered features consume credits.
